 FSU and spoke to
 the Ad Club on Feb.
 20. The event was 
organized by the Ad Club Executive Board and Professor Barry Solomon. Goldberg was a student in the first advertising class that Solomon taught at FSU.

Goldberg’s presentation related how his FSU education helped him to clarify his professional calling. He provided career advice, encouraging students to “find what you’re really good at and make it a craft.”

“Mr. Goldberg’s presentation was very dynamic and inspiring,” Ad Club President Sarah Jean Ferraris said. “He shared information about his background at FSU and what he has done to get to where he
is today. Our members were able to learn great life lessons that can be used down the road. He encouraged us to try our best to get to where we want to be.”

The FSU Forensics Program will present a Speech Showcase from 8 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in HCB 216. The program will include speeches and performances of literature, all of which have qualified for national competition.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Parking is available in the faculty lot across the street from the Woodward Avenue Parking Garage entrance. Forensics volunteers wearing suits and smiles will assist with parking and directions to HCB.

Danielle Holbrook, FSU’s director of forensics, said the program is family-friendly.

The Florida State University’s Individual Events competitors traveled to Georgia for the Chicken or Egg Invitational, which was held Sept. 29 through Oct. 1 at Gainesville State College.  The team advanced to final rounds of competition in 12 of the 13 events, winning championship titles in four events and placing third in overall team rankings.

On Sept. 22 and 23, the Individual Events Squad of The Florida State University’s Forensics Team traveled to Lakeland, Fla., for its first competition of the year, the Child of the Sun Invitational. The squad placed third in overall team competition and won four of eleven individual event titles.
