</span></strong>The Content Management Intern will work at Ripley Entertainment Inc. world headquarters in Orlando, Florida. As part of the Intellectual Property/Content Management Team they will assist with both digital asset workflow and physical media tracking.  Ripley content is interesting and unique and ranges from historical Robert Ripley photos to all types of attraction branding and publishing media.  The Content Management Intern will be trained to use our state-of-the-art DAM (digital asset management) system and gain practical experience in content management best practices.</p>
<p><strong>KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:<br />
</strong>1. Process incoming digital files (renaming, inspecting, organizing).<br />
2. Upload files to DAM system, keywording and tagging with all relevant metadata.<br />
2. Batch processing of assets as assigned.<br />
3. Run routine quality control checks on processed assets.<br />
4. Inventory video and audio physical media in the Ripley archives, label and sort, enter into spreadsheet, add metadata, and upload in MediaBin.<br />
5. Other duties as identified and assigned.</p>
<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<br />
</strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Education/Training:<br />
</span>Enrolled in a degree program where managing digital assets is a core skillset (Library Science, Digital Arts, Information Technology).  Should be able to show relevant coursework completed.</p>
<p>E<span style="text-decoration: underline;">xperience<br />
</span>• Experience working with digital assets of all types: images, videos, audio, graphics, text-based.<br />
• Experience with Adobe products<br />
• Proficient with Microsoft products<br />
• General computer knowledge<br />
• Working knowledge of cataloging systems and tools for content management.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Role specific abilities/skills<br />
</span>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills<br />
• Organized, detail oriented.<br />
• Attention to detail and great follow-up skills essential</p>

<p>The Tallahassee Downtown Improvement Authority is the chief advocacy organization for Tallahassee’s growing Downtown. The TDIA was established in 1971 with the mission of promoting Tallahassee’s Downtown while encouraging development, new business, and general improvements to the area. Today, the TDIA serves as the chief advocate for all things Downtown. This includes promoting, producing, and sponsoring events as well as marketing Downtown to developers, investors, and everyday citizens and tourists alike.</p>
<p>The TDIA is seeking a communications intern for the late summer and fall of 2013. The perfect candidate would be an enthusiastic, independent, and driven individual who is seeking hands on experience in marketing, design, advertising, copy writing, social media, and other critical communication skills. The candidate should be available to work approximately 20 hours per week on projects related to the roll out and further development of the new TLH Downtown brand set for launch in August.</p>

<p>The position is unpaid, but is rich with experience for those seeking to advance their careers and built an impressive portfolio.</p>

<p>We are looking for a trendy college student, that can assist us in finding the “pulse” of the FSU student. Typically, the individual that excels at this position are heavily involved in social media in their personal lives and have a very good understanding of all the different social media platforms.  This summer, we could offer about 10 hrs/week, but once fall rolls around, we would like 20-25 hrs/week.  This position has a starting pay @ $10/hr, with part-time and full-time growth opportunities.</p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Scope and Responsibilities of this position</strong></span></p>
<p>Statement of overall scope and responsibilities of this position:<br />
The Social Media Intern will contribute significantly to social media and overall online marketing efforts working both onsite and online with the overall responsibility of effectively marketing and promoting The Woodlands brand on social media platforms and other channels. The Social Media Intern will report directly to the Social Media Coordinator. This person will also work closely with the leasing, marketing and creative teams.</p>
<p>Non-traditional working hours may be required due to the nature of on-and off property events, and student schedules.</p>
<p>Some of the responsibilities and qualifications are listed below.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span><br />
• Report to Social Media Coordinator (corporate) on a daily basis as well as to Director of Marketing (corporate) as needed.</p>
<p>• Collect digital content in the form of images and video during property events and marketing promotions.</p>
<p>• Research current trends and curate engaging, digital content.</p>
<p>• Utilize internet marketing techniques to increase brand awareness, grow our online presence, and escalate internet traffic.</p>
<p>• Aid in the management and monitoring of all social media platforms in order to strengthen relationships with existing clients, and increase the amount of potential clients we reach.</p>
<p>• Create daily marketing ideas and social media strategies for the various promotions and campaigns, and aid in their execution.<br />
• Provide support in the planning and execution of promotions or marketing events both on and off campus.<br />
• Communicate marketing needs to the corporate, creative department to ensure the correct message is being delivered.<br />
• Exercise proficient social media networking skills and follow social etiquette when interacting with clients or potential clients, both online and offline.<br />

The Library of Congress is the nation&#8217;s oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections. The Library&#8217;s mission is to support the Congress in fulfilling its constitutional duties and to further the progress of knowledge and creativity for the benefit of the American people. Graduate and undergraduate-level interns work on a diverse array of projects in numerous educational fields such as business, information technology, journalism, and digital curation. Mentors work directly with interns offering a professional relationship</p>

<p><strong>Logistics</strong></p>
<p>Prior interns at the Office of Strategic Initiatives at the Library of Congress have completed projects both short-term and long-term. Internships can be designed to work around school scheduling and generally range from 6 weeks to 5 months. Interns will work on specific projects as listed on <a href="http://1.usa.gov/YmZMFs">http://www.loc.gov/internosi</a>, and should tailor their applications toward the project descriptions.  Interns must commit to working a minimum of three days per week at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Internships at the Office of Strategic Initiatives are unpaid. Course credit may be earned for internships, per approval from each intern&#8217;s academic institution. At this time, virtual or online internships are unavailable.</p>
