2011 B.S. Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) and 2012 M.S. Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) alumna, Jordan Wenck, is thriving in all aspects of digital marketing and social media in Atlanta, Ga. The current Digital and Social Marketing Manager at Bridgestone Golf creates content for all social platforms, manages the website, email communications, digital media placements, and supervises ecommerce. The Sarasota, Fla. native was raised playing golf, and feels fulfilled to work for the sports manufacturing company after an exciting experience at The Coca-Cola Company.
Prior to her graduate school commencement, Wenck was a Social Media Marketing Manager at Florida State University and a Teaching Assistant. She assisted in the web design and social outreach for DigiTech, an annual FSU event to showcase campus-wide student innovation with technology. As a Teaching Assistant, Jordan helped students in CGS2821: Introduction to Web Design with HTML, CSS and WordPress.
The summer after earning her Master’s degree, Wenck took her talents to Atlanta and was an Account Services Intern at McRae Communications. Her previous knowledge in strategic communication, social media platforms, and digital technologies paved the way for her entrance to The Coca-Cola Company in November 2012. During her two years at the company, Jordan served as an Emerging Shopper Technology Project Manager and a Digital Marketing Manager for the My Coke Rewards platform.
Apart from her knowledge with IMC, Jordan is thankful to have an ICT background and can fulfill digital responsibilities with ease.
“Being creative and thinking of campaigns is one thing, but actually understanding how the digital and social piece works has been immeasurable in my career thus far,” she says.
At Bridgestone Golf, Jordan is able to use the tools cultivated from her time at FSU to collaborate with a fully cross functional group including technology providers, sales and marketing teams, partnering brands, and even professional golfers themselves.
“My favorite part about the job so far is that I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time learning more about an incredible brand and one of the best sports in the world… and I get to tweet about it!” she explains.
“I still have a lot to learn, but I am excited about my professional future as well as the future of Bridgestone Golf,” Wenck says.
