Dr. Whetstone will present on Health IT and its Potential to Support Adults Living with Type 2 Diabetes & Parents serving as Educational Managers for Children with Special Needs. Melinda’s research focuses on health information technology and it’s potential to engage and support consumers in managing personal health. She will discuss her findings from her work with adults living with Type 2 Diabetes, and share preliminary insights for extending this work to families balancing health and education for children with special needs.
