iSchool on the Road – Elaine & Christie

Hey Alums!

Stop by these conferences and meet up with Elaine Howard and Dr. Christie Koontz, both from Florida State University’s iSchool.

They will be at the Georgia Council of Media Organizations/Southeastern Library Association (COMO SELA) annual conference in Augusta, Georgia this week.

The COMO SELA Conference is at the Augusta Marriott Convention Center in Augusta, Georgia from October 1st to the 4th.  “We will have a table in the exhibitor hall and want to see our alumni!” said Elaine Howard. “I will have a small gift for any of our alumni that stop by our table and say hi.”

Dr. Koontz will also be participating in a panel discussion – SELA Library Education Section Meeting on Friday, October 3 from 9:00-9:50 am in the Oglethorpe E room of the Augusta Convention Center. The panel will be considering how library education programs can better assist information professionals with managerial competence.

After her time in Georgia, Elaine will be off to Hotsprings, Arkansas.  The Arkansas Library Association Conference is October 5th to the 7th at the Embassy Suites Austin – Downtown.  The FSU School of Information will have a table.
