John Marks presents at NFOIC

Attorney John Marksjrm4nfoic teaches classes like information policy & legal research at Florida State University‘s School of Information. Last month, Marks spoke at the National Freedom of Information Coalition (NFOIC) in St. Petersburg.

NFOIC works to protect American’s right to open government and their annual conference touched topics like the ease access of public records. Marks was invited to moderate at the “Open Government vs. Open Data: What is “open government”” session.

“It was an excellent opportunity for journalists, lawyers, and academics to discuss theoretical and practical issues surrounding digital access to government data,” shared Marks.
