Mardis' digital school library research is IMLS April 2011 profile of the month

The Florida State University School of Library & Information Studies research grant Digital Libraries to School Libraries (DSL2SL) is the highlighted Institute for Museum and Library Studies (IMLS) website Project Profile for April 2011. The three-year study of the use of digital technology and professional development in school libraries to integrate digital learning objects into online catalogs for the purpose of improving STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education is funded by a $401,000 IMLS grant. This project, led by SLIS faculty member Marcia A. Mardis, is one of the few Early Career Researcher grants funded by IMLS each year.
