Department  –  Psychology
Responsibilities
Collaborates with electronics engineering staff to develop state-of-the-art computer hardware/software interfaces to augment the research efforts of the department. Develops, constructs and implements computer software for research.Designs, develops and maintains computer and web-based solutions for department areas, including faculty development and the main office. Maintains personnel database software. Web design and programming for department website.Supervises the department*s webmaster and OPS computer programmers, including hiring, assignments and evaluations. Develops short- and long-range strategies for the department*s software and application needs.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience is required.Professional experience utilizing microcomputers for instrumentation control and web applications.
At a minimum, applicants should be able to demonstrate proficiency with the following languages: Visual Basic, C, C++, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL.Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
Preferred – Computer Science degree preferred.
Other Information – A skills test will be given to those who interview for the position.
