Description
The Florida Office of Financial Regulation is seeking self-motivated, engaging candidates who have 1-2 years of experience in communications and public relations. The communications coordinator is a hands-on member of the Communications Office team who assists with writing, pitching, message development, research, social media content, and other special projects. This position is part-time (30 hours/week), and offers the opportunity to earn valuable experience while building essential communication skills.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates have the following:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Qualities: self-motivation, dependability, creativity;
- Ability to start, manage and finish projects quickly and efficiently;
- Proficiency in social media platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
It is the policy of the Office of Financial Regulation that any applicant being considered for employment must successfully complete a State and National criminal history check as a condition of employment before beginning employment and, if applicable, also be screened in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, F.S., and Chapter 408, F.S.
