Your job with us…The Manager of the FabLab is responsible for the overall operation of the UTA FabLab and the development of programs and services which meet the needs of FabLab learners who have a wide-range of experience and expertise using the equipment in the lab and who cross the boundaries of multiple disciplines including education, arts, business, engineering, and computer science and the humanities. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service coupled with a vision for using emerging technologies and evidence-based decision practices to develop, implement, and assess services.

What you bring…Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. Three years of experience in digital fabrication methods; two years of supervisory experience or the equivalent experience.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in a STEAM field. Five years of experience managing and/or working in a makerspace or digital fabrication lab. Three years of supervisory experience. Experience with 3 or more of the following fabrication technologies: 3D Printing; 3D Scanning; Laser Cutting; CNC Routing; Plasma Cutting; and Electronics. Demonstrated leadership skills. Teaching experience. Demonstrated flexibility, collegiality, initiative, a commitment to customer service and service excellence.
