Responsibilities

This is a support position in Multimedia Services. The selected individual will work under the direct guidance of our Web Designer to update and maintain our existing College website. This involves working with various requestors to understand what needs to be changed, then performing those changes, and finally validating the effort with the requestor.

The individual will provide excellent service to our College customers (faculty, staff and students), while performing timely additions and edits to our website, including eNews articles, events, and general web pages. Key actions include modifying form and content of existing pages, including basic text, HTML, CSS and other formatting data, as well as working with underlying databases when needed, to maintain an esthetically pleasing, functional and current website for the College.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

A minimum of one year of experience with managing and updating websites, including HTML/HTML5 and CSS.

Some experience with MySQL or similar database systems in a web environment.

Strong Customer Service experience and commitment. Experience prioritizing, organizing and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Experience working successfully in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred

Experience with PHP and/or other active-content web technology.

Helpful

Experience with WordPress or other Web Content Management solutions. Some experience with computer programming and/or graphic design.

Anticipated Salary Range

$10.00/hr – $12.00/hr, depending on qualifications

Schedule

Monday-Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, with a lunch break. We may consider a part-time schedule for a well-qualified candidate. This position is expected to end no later than the start of the Summer 2017 semester.
