Business Analyst

Position Description

I. Overall Expectations
a. B.S. Degree in MIS, CIS, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration OR
1-2 years’ experience in system analysis position
b. Excellent writing, organizational & communication skills
c. Desire to learn technologies and complex business processes
d. Consistent attendance. 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

II. Employee Management
a. None

III. Duties
a. Perform systems analysis, design, testing and implementation-assistance for development, enhancement, and production support
b. Develop an understanding of the business model; define, document, and apply to the application design.
c. Work with business areas to define requirements. Translates to functional and technical design. Prepares system specifications.
d. Develop system and user acceptance test plans, scenarios, and scripts. Coordinates and conducts testing and verification, to encompass functional, operational, and performance criteria.
e. Assist in defining project objectives, scope, and effort.
f. Responsible for ensuring that the business model, functional and data design, and technical architecture are consistently implemented.
g. Expected to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the application functions, facilities, and technical architecture in order to develop and extend the enterprise system.

IV. Other Duties
a. Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings
b. Attend client meetings with direct supervisor
