Administrative Coordinator – Libraries @ Rhode Island School of Design

The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) invites applications for the full-time position of Administrative Coordinator for the Libraries, to start in summer 2017. This new position will report to the Dean of Libraries and will be based in Fleet Library. The Administrative Coordinator will perform a wide variety of complex administrative duties and be a logistical partner with the Dean of Libraries in a collaborative and nimble work environment.

The Coordinator will serve as the initial point of contact for internal and external divisional inquiries (in particular related to library spaces and use) and answer routine questions regarding standard policies and procedures. With attention to detail, the Coordinator will update and maintain confidential records and files as well as public facing environments (i.e. the library website and social media) to reflect accurate information. In addition the Coordinator Generates, maintains, and processes forms, documents, statistics, reports, minutes, and agendas. The Coordinator is responsible for management of the Dean’s dynamic calendar, the Library calendar, and coordinate and streamline the calendar and communication system(s). Finally, under direction of the Dean, the Coordinator oversees and maintains financial records, reports, and filing systems, orders office and general supplies, as needed, and coordinates and monitors divisional expenses.
