Faculty and alumni elected to ALISE board of directors

Two members of the FSU-SLIS family were recently elected to the board of directors of the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE). FSU-SLIS associate professor Don Latham, who earned his doctorate at FSU-SLIS, will serve as director for special interest groups and FSU-SLIS doctoral program alumna Laurie Bonnici, now an assistant professor at the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alabama, will serve as director for membership.

ALISE is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to promote excellence in research, teaching, and service and to provide an understanding of the values and ethos of library and information science. It is made up largely of university faculty and others in graduate programs in library and information science in North America. Learn more at http://www.alise.org/about-alise.
