The duo’s presentation, Letting it Go!: the digital evolution of library outreach, detailed a reference series that was developed to increase awareness of library resources and services. Nodine and Fulton work at the Warren D. Allen Music Library, the second largest independent music library in the Southeast, located at Florida State University. Both have backgrounds in music and went on to complete their Master’s in Library and Information Science from Florida State’s School of Information.

Nodine serves as the Assistant Librarian and Head of Collection Development at the Warren D. Allen Music Library. She has graduated from Florida State twice: in 2007 with a Master’s in Historical Musicology and in 2009 with a Master’s in Library and Information Science. In 2014, she completed her Specialist’s degree in Leadership & Management, also from the School of Information. Nodine is the current Publicity and Outreach Officer for MLA, in the past she has served on the board of the regional chapter and on national level committees.

“Being able to present this year at the conference with Patrick was quite special,” she shared. “We were thrilled to be discussing a new program and product we created for our community.”

Fulton is the Circulation and Reserve Manager at the Warren D. Allen Music Library. He will soon be a two-time graduate of Florida State: in 2010 with a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance and anticipates his Master’s in Library and Information Science in Summer 2015. He’s an active member of the Force Majeure Quintent, a professional woodwind quintet based in Tallahassee.

“It was really a thrill to get to represent the hard work we are doing here at FSU with the greater music library community alongside my friend and colleague, Sara.”
