Responsibilities

Position serves as the programmer for the FSU Rapid Response COVID Lab.

Assists database administrator for Student Health Services in the design, maintenance and modifications for custom built applications developed for the FSU Rapid Response COVID Lab.

Assists with the architecture and maintenance of in-house databases for future applications.

Aids in data analysis reporting requirements for the FSU Rapid Response COVID Lab.

Assists with the development and maintenance of policy and procedure regarding application and data security.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and four years of experience related to the duties of this position.

(Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years in same areas.)

Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the network and data field.

Ability to utilize and develop programming language and tools within the technology field.

Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field.

Knowledge of information technology security measures.

Ability to convey technical information to technical and nontechnical users.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Position requires post hire Tuberculosis Skin test (PPD)

Preferred

Experience working with Object Oriented Programming concepts

Experience using modern web applications (preferably .Net Core MVC/MVVM and Laravel PHP)

Experience using MSSQL

Experience with front end development using Bootstrap 3/4, Javascript, and Jquery

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
