    Description

    The Organizational Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing communications that generate excitement for Company strategies, initiatives or messages by transforming them into powerful, easy-to-understand words that are relevant and useful to team members.

    Representative Roles and Responsibilities Primary Functions

    Research, write, edit and use discretion and independent judgment to determine content of team member communications while ensuring the consistent delivery of the Company message. Assist in day to day content management of the Enterprise Portal Perform research and review of various materials and data in support of communication objectives. Write articles for various communication media as directed. Work closely with supplier partners to ensure brand consistency in organizational communications efforts for the Company. Collaborate, influence, and align others to project goals, deliverables, timing, and accountabilities. Ensure that key project events and milestones stay on track and within budget. Develops materials for communication projects which support the strategic plan, the department plan, and key programs, events or announcements. Manage vendors (photographers, videographers, etc.) as necessary for special projects. Schedule headshots for, and write internal announcements of, new executive Associates joining the Company. Assists in the development and maintain a calendar of organizational events. Works closely with other Communication and Community members and the Manager of Retail Communications for alignment of organizational messaging.

    Desired Skills & Experience Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field of study. Minimum of 3-5 years of employee or corporate communications experience. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, edit and present compelling stories with strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Ability to translate business goals into employee communications Ability to work weekends as required. MS Office Suite proficiency required. Ability to use independent judgment and be entrusted with confidential information. Excellent proofreading and editing skills in a variety of communication styles. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact in a professional and courteous manner with all levels of the company while maintaining composure and production quality under deadline pressure. Or, equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Masters Degree in Marketing or Journalism. Motivated, self-starter who enjoys working on multiple projects and being engaged by many groups simultaneously. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Ability to think strategically and work quickly with high accuracy. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills that show adaptability, flexibility and creativity. High standard of integrity and reliability.
