Marketing & Events Summer Internship Position in Tampa

Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in marketing, event management or public relations before you finish college? Then look no further. The Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF) is seeking an Intern for the 2010 Summer Semester for approximately 20 hours per week. You will gain valuable real-world experience and develop contacts with industry leaders that could lead to a full-time career when you graduate.

A stipend of up to $1,000 will be paid at the completion of the internship.

We are seeking a sharp college student who is savvy with social media, has strong copy-writing skills and is a motivated team player. Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with event planning on programs such as:
o Tech Trends – panel discussion on mobile technology.
o coolTECH – showcase of fifty exhibits of cool technology, keynote speaker from Disney and over 650 attendees.
o Tech Jam – large fund-raising event with a silent auction, battle of the bands and more.
o Industry Achievement Awards Gala – black-tie awards gala for over 500 people in the business and tech community.
o Numerous monthly educational programs, network events and more for the regional technology industry.

• Copy-writing for e-invitations, website content, press releases, promotional materials and more.

• Assisting with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.

• Assisting with marketing campaigns for TBTF programs and services.

Candidates must be a current student studying Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communications or a related field.
