As the National Marketing Manager at Gulfeagle Supply, a family-owned and operated roofing distributor, Jennifer Richardson leads a brand new marketing department that works hands-on to embrace social media and engage with new customers.
Jennifer is a two-time FSU and CCI graduate, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Communication with a focus in Public Relations.
“I credit my education at CCI in giving me a strong foundation to grow as a Communications professional,” Jennifer said. “The professors and internships really made the difference for me.”
Before starting her current management position at Gulfeagle Supply, Jennifer worked for 8 years in the marketing industry for charter boat companies in the Tampa Bay area where she helped to launch Tampa’s pirate ship, The Lost Pearl, including the creation of social media accounts, email and website. During that time, she had many articles published as a result of press releases she had written. “I like to celebrate the big and small victories! Anytime I’ve had a press release picked up or landed an interview from a press release, I’m always humbled. Looking back, I’m so thankful I earned a seat in the Public Relations program at Florida State University!”
When asked if she had any advice that she would like to share with current CCI students, Jennifer said “Internships are the best foundation for building mentors, connections, and skills that you will carry with you as you advance in your career.”
