The Graduate School’s New Graduate Student Orientation

The Graduate School will host New Graduate Student Orientation Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at HCB (located behind the Oglesby Student Union), from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Orientation will include two sessions led by Dean Nancy Marcus, one for students new to FSU and a second for students who graduated from FSU. Four workshops will be offered: Our Experiences as Graduate Students led by current graduate students, Steps to the Degree for Thesis/Dissertation Students, Funding and Awards for Graduate Students, and the Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) Program. Campus offices and graduate student organizations will host tables from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. A “Picnic on the Union Green” will also be provided for new graduate students by FSU’s Seminole Dining at noon.

Registration for Orientation and the workshops will be available online beginning Friday, July 30, 2010.
