DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONS

Broadcast Production:
Broadcast Producers have the awesome responsibility of bringing the creative team’s concepts to life. We take an idea on paper and see it through to the on-air product. We work closely with the creative team to select an appropriate director, editor, animator, sound designer, composer, colorist, and cast to make the commercial great. Of course, the producer has the responsibility of getting all this done within a specific budget and timeline.  To accomplish this task, producers have to be calm under the pressure of deadlines, flexible to constant changes, creative thinkers, and have the ability to find solutions to all sorts of challenges during the production process.

Campaign Management:
Campaign managers are a combination of things: puzzle-solver, den mother/father, air traffic controller and nuclear physicist. In other words, they are highly organized, keenly strategic and able to manage integrated projects across multiple disciplines. 22squared campaign managers have a passion for seeing a project through, can manage the big picture as well as the smallest details, have the ability to manage big groups, and integrate change seamlessly. Campaign Management is a great fit for those who want a full understanding of how an agency runs.

Client Leadership:
The role of Client Leadership is to lead clients and their organizations to greater success by building their brands and businesses. We are the direct liaison between the agency and the client and work directly with various agency teams to develop business and marketing solutions that align with the objectives of our clients. We inspire agency teams by providing strategic direction and insight, maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset, and anticipating potential challenges and opportunities for all advertising campaigns and projects. Client Leadership manages the integrated approach the agency applies to clients’ business needs and consistently adds value along the way.

Corporate Communications:
There is no typical day in 22squared’s Corporate Communications department, since we manage both internal and external communications for the agency. Our responsibilities range from submitting work to awards shows and maintaining 22squared’s four social media platforms, to conducting media outreach, booking speaking opportunities for our thought leaders, and planning monthly Bev Bars and volunteer activities. Our ideal intern candidate will be able to juggle multiple tasks without missing a detail, have an understanding of PR and social media, possess a “what-can-I-do-to-help” attitude, know when to ask questions, and be able to work independently without missing deadlines.

Creative:
Creative interns get to “do” things. And not the “tall mocha no-foam latte” kind of things. You’ll work on actual, real-life projects helping our creative teams come up with creative concepts for our clients. Then you’ll write, art direct, or design them to completion, hopefully earning you a portfolio piece or two in the process. You’ll learn how to take that creative spark and mold and shape it into work that fits seamlessly into a brand’s story.

Creative Innovation:
The Creative Innovation team is a small (read: 3 member) group of curious tinkerers with our fingers on the pulse of emergent technologies. Our job is to stay on top of current tech trends, mobile experiences, and marketing strategies; prototype with new technologies; and spread awareness of innovations inside and outside of the agency. We leverage new and existing technologies for both campaign and internal use, collaborating with other departments to pinpoint areas where we can offer unique solutions.  Preference for those who come wide-eyed to the interview, clutching their custom built Arduino devices and dog eared copy of Wired magazine!

Design (Tampa):
The Design department creates work that is noticed, enjoyed, remembered, talked about and, oh yeah, effective. Designers are a collaborative group—working well with each other, with other departments and with extra coffee when the pressure’s on. 22squared designers are imaginative and innovative, see opportunity in every assignment and are eager to dig in.

Digital Production:
Digital Producers figure out how to make ideas come to life. We work with integrated teams to come up with the best possible solution to solve our clients’ ever changing business challenges. Great producers don’t just complete the work put in front of them, they make the work better because they are involved. We develop scopes of work, estimates, and schedules and oversee the development from start to finish. We troubleshoot issues as they arise and resolve conflict. We build bridges between departments, create order out of chaos, and do our share of cat herding. We learn by running into walls, by failing and making mistakes, but in spite of these challenges, we push forward, sometimes blindly, and get the job done.

Information Technology:
An intern will be exposed to all things tech. Servers, networks, end user support, finance — everything. You will also get some training in and eventually ownership of projects. Specific projects and contributions will depend on interest and need. Leaving this internship, you will have a well-rounded understanding of what an internal IT department does and have some real work experience.

Media Buying:
Our spot buying department deals with over 4,000 TV/cable and radio stations across the United States and is in charge of placing and stewarding our clients’ broadcast buys. We process an average of 100,000 spots per month and are responsible for ensuring our clients get above-industry-average value for their investments. Interns will have the opportunity to watch a sneak peek of all the new TV shows set to premiere in the fall.

Media Planning:
One of the key players on the advertising team is the media planner. The Media planners are responsible for researching consumers’ media consumption and behavior, evaluating content or programming to find the best media fit for their clients. We make sure that our clients’ ads appear in the right places at the right times over a range of media including print, television, radio, outdoor, digital and mobile. And we do it all within a finite budget.

New Business:
Are you a perfectionist who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working under pressure, always learning about something new, and herding cats? If so, you’d be a great new-business person. The business development team at 22squared is responsible for all sales and marketing activities, including researching prospects, lead generation and qualification, coordinating the development of presentations, orchestrating the logistics of credentials and pitch meetings, and overseeing the development of all agency branding materials. If you’re a fan of AMC’s reality series, “The Pitch,” this is your chance to actually live the process.

Performance Solutions:
You won’t find a group like this anywhere else. Part Digital Strategy, part User Experience and a whole lot of Analytics. We partner with teams across the agency to create exceptional experiences to drive behavior that positively affects our clients’ bottom line.  From consumer pathing to goal setting to optimization analysis and search strategy, we drive performance and build solutions to prove it.

Production—Print, Digital, & Broadcast (Tampa):
Are you looking for a spot on a team focused on quality work in broadcast, digital and/or print mediums? Do you find yourself wanting to be a maker of things or have a passion for storytelling? 22squared seeks a student intern with a passion for creating great things with great people. Whether an Ad, Mass Comm, Journalism or New Media student, the integrated production department is seeking a driven, motivated and even entrepreneurial type to come help us make great ideas happen.  If you’ve got proficiencies and knowledge in technology, film or print mediums and have specific goals for yourself and your career, come be a part of our production team this summer at 22squared.

Search (SCOUT22):
UNIFIED SEARCH. That’s what we do. We don’t think of just PPC. Our team creates strategies across Paid (SEM), Organic (SEO) and Social (SSM) to gain the most impact and exposure for our clients. We work hand in hand with the Digital Media group and Web Development teams. And we provide valuable insights and trending to inform new strategies across all mediums.

Social Media:
Our Social Media team members are gifted conversationalists. They understand how to effectively communicate with millions of people every day by using strategy and a lot of creativity. 22squared Social Media experts understand the nuances of community conversations, current Internet trends, have passion for building brands’ personalities, and can use data to inspire creative content.
