The Florida State University College of Communication & Information is seeking an assistant Webmaster to support and advance the multiple websites managed by the College.
The hours are flexible and we will work around your class schedule. The position is eligible for internship credit, will provide relevant experience, and positive referrals upon successful completion. Office space and all necessary software and hardware are provided.
We are interested in individuals who know or want to learn:
- The ability to code valid HTML, CSS, and some PHP
- User habits, web design trends, cross-browser and platform compatibility issues
- Basic graphic design software and/or developing content for the web
- Working with and developing for WordPress
Other duties may include:
- Developing content for multiple websites
- Shooting photos at events and/or compiling video projects
- Support of an online faculty and staff directory
- Working with faculty and staff to develop new websites or designs
Expectations:
We expect our staff to learn while they work with us – this is a “hands-on” position where students will apply their existing skills, as well as learn new ones. Applicants must be current students of The Florida State University and should be in a good academic standing.
