Communication Intern

The FSU chemistry department is looking for a motivated communication or journalism student to perform an internship.  The position would entail setting appointments with professors in the chemistry department, performing informal interviews with them, and writing a small blurb about the current “goings on” in that laboratory.

These blurbs will be posted on the chemistry department’s homepage with appropriate recognition for the author.  Minimum qualifications include an outgoing personality, working towards a degree at FSU, and high motivation.  There will be no pay, but benefits will include a great line on a résumé, letters of recommendation, and having published articles on a website that gets hundreds of visits per day.  Hours are completely up to the intern as long as a story gets published once every two weeks.  The internship can start immediately.  Please contact Dr. Michael Roper (roper@chem.fsu.edu) or Dr. Tyler McQuade (mcquade@chem.fsu.edu) for more information.
