Communication Internship

Disability Rights Florida, the premier statewide disability legal rights advocacy organization, is offering a paid undergraduate internship to a qualified candidate for the Spring 2017 semester. It is open to students majoring in a College of Communication & Information program.

The internship is for 10-20 hours/week throughout the Spring semester. The pay range is between $8-12 per hour, depending on candidate knowledge, skills and abilities.

Disability Rights Florida uses the web, email, social media and print to target information to key audiences within the disability and legal community. We offer services ranging from legislative policy analysis and advocacy to individual information and referral and free confidential legal or advocacy services. Our staff also conducts legal rights trainings and performs outreach about our mission, priorities, accomplishments and services.

In addition to gaining experience relevant to your specific major, all interns will gain knowledge and experience with disability accessibility, language accessibility and cultural competence.
