Job Description:
The Help Desk at City of Tallahassee functions as remote end user support to employees of the City. Some duties include technical troubleshooting, providing a pleasant customer service experience, password resets, and communicating technical problems effectively. Interns will work in a professional setting within City Hall and are responsible for documenting and troubleshooting technical problems users may be experiencing.
Required Qualifications:
- Current student at a university having:
- Completed at least 30 hours of coursework
- Provide your own transportation to and from work
- Majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
Recommended Qualifications:
- Comfortable with Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems
- Familiarity with HP and Dell hardware
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer Service Experience
- Troubleshooting Experience
Other Information:
- Averages 10 hours per week
- Paid Internship
- Pay is $11/hr
- Hours of Operation: 7:30AM-5:30PM, M-F
- Hours are flexible with class schedule
- Student can stay in the internship until they graduate
