Job Description:

The Help Desk at City of Tallahassee functions as remote end user support to employees of the City.  Some duties include technical troubleshooting, providing a pleasant customer service experience, password resets, and communicating technical problems effectively.  Interns will work in a professional setting within City Hall and are responsible for documenting and troubleshooting technical problems users may be experiencing.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Current student at a university having:
  • Completed at least 30 hours of coursework
  • Provide your own transportation to and from work
  • Majoring in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

 

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Comfortable with Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems
  • Familiarity with HP and Dell hardware
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Troubleshooting Experience

 

Other Information:

  • Averages 10 hours per week
  • Paid Internship
  • Pay is $11/hr
  • Hours of Operation: 7:30AM-5:30PM, M-F
  • Hours are flexible with class schedule
  • Student can stay in the internship until they graduate
