About the Florida Office of Film & Entertainment
The Florida Office of Film & Entertainment provides strategic planning for Florida’s growing entertainment industry, production support for out of state and local productions, workforce development initiatives, business recruitment and retention, marketing and promotional efforts, as well as brand maintenance, and government liaison services.
Qualifications
Good communication skills, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Previous work experience in Film, Entertainment, Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design preferred but not required; familiarity with Access database preferred but not required; Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
Position Terms
Seeking qualified interns for the Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer Semesters.
Interns assist in the daily operations of the Florida Office of Film & Entertainment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting with financial audits of our incentive program recipients; inputting leads, client relations information, and sales tax exemptions into our Reel Scout project management system; and managing the vetting of participants in our office’s new online production directory. Some of the aspects of implementing our incentive program require tedious and detailed fact checking of applicant budgets and required documents. Interns may also be asked to assist with additional administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, answering and transferring incoming calls, etc.
