Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Podcast and Social Media Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission by assisting with the production of podcasts, creating engaging blog content, and managing our social media platforms. The intern will also be responsible for maintaining and expanding our email database and producing a monthly newsletter.
Responsibilities:
1. Podcast Production:
– Assist in planning, recording, and editing episodes of the “Mommy Heal Thyself” podcast.
– Coordinate interviews with professionals and guests.
– Help with script writing and research for podcast topics.
– Ensure the podcast content aligns with the organization’s mission and values.
2. Blog Content Creation:
– Research and develop engaging blog articles related to health, wellness, and community-building topics.
– Edit and proofread blog posts for accuracy and clarity.
– Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement.
3. Social Media Management:
– Create and schedule social media posts for our YouTube channels, Facebook page, and other virtual platforms.
– Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and interact with our online community.
– Develop and implement social media campaigns to promote our programs and initiatives.
4. Email Database Management:
– Maintain and update the organization’s email database of over 500 recipients.
– Segment the email list for targeted communication.
– Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and best practices.
5. Monthly Newsletter:
– Design and create a monthly newsletter to be distributed to email recipients.
– Include updates on programs, upcoming events, and highlights from the organization’s activities.
– Collaborate with team members to gather content and updates.
Qualifications:
– Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant program (communications, media, marketing, etc.).
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Familiarity with podcast production and editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition).
– Proficiency in social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.).
– Creative and self-motivated with a passion for community wellness.
– Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
– Graphic design skills and knowledge of email marketing platforms are a plus.
