Internship Vacancy Announcement
The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR), a nationally recognized, federally-funded nonprofit corporation specializing in training, technical assistance, and research for criminal justice, homeland security, and juvenile justice issues, is now accepting resumes for an internship opportunity for the fall 2013 semester in the information technology division of IIR. The Ideal candidate will be a dynamic senior level undergraduate student or current graduate student, with a major in the field of Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Prefer candidates with a background in application development.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates will be expected to:
- Understand Object-Oriented Programming methodology;
- Have a working knowledge of JavaScript, C#, and MS SQL Server;
- Have Intermediate HTML coding skills; and
- Be self-motivated with a strong desire to learn in the real world.
The available internship is a part-time, paid position (20 hours per week) and will need to be available to work on site at IIR during normal business hours. Candidates are also required to be participating in the internship program through their respective department for earned credit toward a degree.
