Messaging Administrator – Children’s Campaign, Inc.

Children’s Campaign, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Junior Messaging Administrator. The Junior Messaging Administrator is a part-time, unpaid position requiring between 10-15 hours per week. The Junior Messaging Administrator will become the Senior Messaging Administrator in the fall, which is a paid, 20-25 hours per week job.

Job Description

Primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the Convio database messaging system. This includes but is not limited to adding, deleting, and maintaining members within the Convio database, managing outbound messages, maintaining and creating reports and improving outreach methods using statistical analysis.

Partially responsible for managing the newly-integrated Web 2.0 infrastructure and social networking with the help of other interns.
Also helps the event planner with coordinating Campaign to Protect Children town hall meetings. This includes communicating with individuals and organizations involved with the Campaign, organizing outreach methods towards students, businesses, non-profit organizations and legislature, and helping to create audio-visual presentations.

Detailed Task Execution

  • Actively maintain communication with Executive Staff about organization’s current events and issues, both technical and non-technical related
  • Supervise and guide junior interns on their responsibilities and roles
  • Performs the Convio daily routine when present in the office
  • Designs, writes, edits, and distributes “Breaking News”, “Front Burner”, and press release email communications
  • Supports the Legislative Team and Communication Team in gathering data and presenting it.
  • Stays up to date on current events involving Florida’s Children
