Position Opening – Outreach Coordinator
The Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory (FSUCML) seeks a highly motivated, energetic indiviual to serve as coordinator of outreach. The position is a part time, OPS position. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the Director prepare outreach material and coordinate special events at the laboratory.
Bachelor’s degree in biology or other science-related discipline preferred. Most important is that the applicant have excellent communication, writing, and computer skills. Proficiency with word, excel, and social media (e.g., Facebook) required. Review of applications submitted online (see right column) will begin immediately and will continue until a successful candidate is identified. Pay is $14 per hour.

Research at the FSUCML is conducted by faculty in residence and from the main campus, as well as by postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate investigators from FSU and other universities throughout the world.
The mission of the FSUCML is to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research focused on the coastal and marine ecosystems of the northeastern Gulf of Mexico, with a focus on solving the ecological problems faced by the region by providing the scientific underpinnings for informed policy decisions.
