Biblioteca degli Uffizi (Uffizi Library) Internship – Summer Deadline December 7!!!

Uffizi Library is in the Ufifizi museum since 1988.  The library focuses on collections in the Florentine state museums and also hosts special exhibits.  Uffizi will be considering other FSU and non-FSU applicants–so placement is not a guarantee. Spring, Summer, or Fall 2010.

Click on http://international.fsu.edu/ and review general information regarding international internships in Florence, Italy.  This internship falls under normal FSU international programs (IP) and is for one semester, beginning Spring 2010. Application due dates are on the IP site.

Cost to student averages $13,200 excluding scholarships and any finanacial aid the student may receive.  Costs cover up to ten hours tuition, housing, but not travel to and from Florence. Some scholarships are available–see IP site http://international.fsu.edu/. Interns receive five food vouchers per week valued at $10 Euro each. Students must have passport, visa and indicate they have at least $4000 USD in savings.

This is a competitive internship–within FSU and outside of FSU–art history majors will also be made aware of this recent opportunity.  SLIS students with training or education in art history or museum work–or any related specialty area–are encouraged to apply.
