Position Description

Primary duties and responsibilities:       

This position operates as a “hands-on” technical developer for .NET application development projects. Candidates must be highly motivated and have a strong desire to work in a team oriented environment. Candidates should have experience working with ASP.NET, C#, PL/SQL and Oracle 10g. 

Preference will be given to applicants with 1 – 2 years of experience in ASP.NET, Oracle data base application development and programming using, PL/SQL, Oracle 10g,  C# programming; Visual Basic 6 programming; Microsoft Access; SQL Server 2000-2008; IIS 7, SQL Reporting and Microsoft Windows 2003 or 2008.  The ability to work as part of a team to resolve problems is very important. 

 

  • Knowledge of Object Oriented programming principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of relational database design
  • Knowledge of the concepts and theories of data processing and data communications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, subordinates, technical staff and users
  • Ability to communicate technical data processing information effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to complete work assignments while working with business analysts and other technical staff
  • Ability to follow operational and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to utilize integrated development environment tools such as Visual Studio
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of team members
  • Ability to write read and interpret technical specifications, test cases, and software requirements
  • Ability to design, develop and test web-based, database driven applications using industry standard techniques and guidelines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with existing application
  • Skill in deployment of web-based applications and database scripts
  • Skill in analyzing and interpreting technical data
  • Skill in developing and executing unit and system tests
  • Skill in developing program specifications
  • Skill in Object Oriented analysis and design
  • Skill with programming using PL/SQL

Working hours:

(A) Range of hours in which the intern must set their schedule: Daily from 8:00 am to 5:00pm
