Business Development Professional
A growing engineering firm is currently seeking an outgoing and organized Business Development Professional. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the following:
- Conducting and managing research of prospective new business opportunities, targets, industries, markets and competition
- Maintaining currency of all Marketing and Business Development documents
- Assessing the information needs of internal and external clients
- Supporting the Managing Director and Engineering staff in preparation of client presentation materials, seminars, requests for proposals (RFPs) and research. Responsibilities will include the drafting and editing of materials and timely delivery of such
- Cultivating new and enhancing existing client relations. Candidate must be comfortable with conducting cold calls to set up meetings with new clients as this will occur on a frequent basis
- Conducting daily administrative duties

- Ability to use own judgment while orchestrating new tasks

- Ability to work in a non-structured environment
- Professional in attitude and appearance with polished communication skills
- Ability to work in a high profile position that requires direct interaction with senior level clients
There is tremendous room for growth with this position as the firm is expanding.
Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. An ALA accredited MLS (or similar) degree is strongly preferred. Two to five years of relevant experience is a plus.
Location: downtown Miami, FL
Salary: High 30’s to low 40’s DOE
