FLORIDA COURT CLERKS & COMPTROLLERS
General Purpose of the Position:
Responsible for assisting the Director of Administrative & Member Services with the public information flow through the Association as well as the flow of communications to the Clerks, media and other outside parties. Provide staff support and coordination in the creation and implementation of internal and external communication programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its members. Assist with administrative support, including human resources and member services, as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
v Provide staff support and assistance with the creation and implementation of communication programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its offerings including assisting with the coordination of external consultants.
v Provide staff support and assistance with the development, editing or coordinating of all forms of correspondence, providing help with writing to support staff, as needed.
v Serve as contact for disseminating e-mail to Clerks and Comptrollers, staff and other stakeholders.
v Responsible for producing weekly E-Newsletter sent to Clerks and Comptrollers.
v Serve as host for webinar sessions for meetings and training sessions for Clerks, staff and other stakeholders.
v Administer content and design of Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers websites.
v Generate content, edit and coordinate communications for all association social media entities.
v Develop and/or edit press releases for the association.
v Develop and/or edit press releases for Clerks of Court/Comptrollers as needed/requested.
v Assist in media relations, tracking Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers milestones, draft news releases, track media exposure, etc.
v Work as liaison with outside public relations firm(s) as may be applicable in promoting the role of the Clerks/Comptrollers as part of Florida’s system of government.
v Work with directors, managers and staff in producing communications-related material as needed.
v Provide staff support and assistance with the coordination of communication program development and implementation with appropriate association committees.
v Other job related marginal duties, as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
v Experience in and knowledge of communications practices.
v Experience in and knowledge of media relations practices.
v Ability to express ideas with highly developed written and verbal skills.
v Ability to work with all forms of new media in developing communication materials.
v Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team-based environment.
v Ability to manage detail-oriented tasks as well as multi-task on projects simultaneously.
v Ability to establish and meet project deadlines.
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
The position requires the ability to work with a personal computer and peripheral equipment in a Windows environment with strong technical understanding and the ability to learn new software and online tools quickly. The ability to utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and MSWord is necessary. Experience with development of web-based software and new media to assist with communications is preferred.
Education and Experience Required:
v Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
v A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the above education and experience minimum qualifications.
Compensation and Benefits:
