REQUIRED SKILLS: SQL, data conversion experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to get the Functional knowledge on the system very quickly
• Ability to understand the Data Model of Source and Target systems, and comprehend the normalization techniques used to identify the best approach to migrate the data
• Ability to identify the data element mapping between the source and target based on the Client interactions and document them in the agreed format
• Ability to comprehend the Configuration nature of Source and the target system, and understand the need to map the source and target configurations
• Analyze legacy data and identify problems and issues with respect to the new system
• Work with the Project Subject Matter Experts to develop business rules for resolving data issues, and develop conversion rules to transform the data for the new system
• Define the Business Rules for Data Validation, Cleansing and Transformation.
• Develop/maintain utility programs/scripts to automate common pre/post conversion tasks
• Review Customer feedback on first iteration conversion and determine next steps

Experience converting and moving large quantities of data from legacy applications to new applications.
