Department – The College of Social Work

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school/equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at an equivalent rate.) Experience in coordinating and organizing events on a professional level, and experience assisting customers/clients. Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word) or similar software.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills; excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to communicate effectively and accurately both verbally and in writing and prioritize assigned tasks.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening, weekend hours, and some travel.

Florida or Georgia driver’s license or the ability to obtain.

Background Check Requirements

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.

Preferred

Experience developing policies and goals. Experience with public relations and with using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Schedule

Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening, weekend hours, and some travel.

Other Information

This position is funded by both Auxiliary and E&G sources.

Responsibilities

Responsible for educational, fundraising, and special events and projects for the College of Social Work. Assist in the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of events. Supports marketing and promotional efforts for membership, special events, alumni outreach programs, constituency groups, and homecoming. Manages data and reports associated with events. Involved in the development of new alumni programs.

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
