GENERAL:

General Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:  Responsible for production values of all Telemundo 51 local programming including news briefs and daily news topicals.

• Supervises team of producers, associate producers and writers.

• Responsible for quality control, which includes writing, story selection, production value and editorial quality of newscasts.

• Will integrate broadcast and digital content.
• Develop, implement and supervise Telemundo 51 Social Media Strategy

 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a news producer.
• Prior management experience in news broadcasting (at least one year minimum)

• Willingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work at the station in Miramar/Miami locations
• Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
• Must be 18 years or greater

  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

 

Desired:

• Degree in Journalism or Communications or equivalent preferred
• Ability to make quick, priority decisions under extreme deadlines.
• Strong journalistic, leadership, personnel management and communication skills. Ability to make priority decisions under extreme deadlines.
