INFORMATION SERVICES COORDINATOR: INSTRUCTION (Missouri Western Univ)

The successful candidate will perform reference and research duties that either fulfill the information needs of library patrons or effectively teach them how to find the information they seek. The position will instruct students, faculty, and staff in the effective use of library resources by providing one-on-one training, group training, and prepared library instruction sessions; supervise and train Information Services Librarians; plan and coordinate reference assistance to students, faculty, staff, administration, and the community; select and evaluate reference materials, and assist faculty in making decisions for core collections; identify trends, changes and innovations in library science and information technology; and supervise student workers. Some evening and weekend hours required.

*REQUIRED:* Master’s degree in library science or an equivalent degree from an ALA-accredited program with minimum of three years of related library research and reference experience with demonstrated supervisory experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability in the use of electronic resources; minimum two years professional experience.
