IT Manager TECT Power

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Description:
Manages day to day activities related to IT infrastructure within the TECT Power business unit. This person is responsible for establishing a consistent IT and telecommunications environment for all sites within the TECT Power division, and will provide the first line of support for plants within that division. This person will work in conjunction with the SS System Admin Manager and SS system engineers to complete projects and tasks related to TECT Power. This person will have full administrative rights for the TECT Power domain, and will share responsibilities for account administration with TECT SS system engineers. This position reports to the Shared Services IT Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:
BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experience, required.
Experience:
Approximately 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, required. In addition, experience in aerospace industry, preferred.
Networking and routing including configuration and troubleshooting of routers and switches.
Windows / Windows Server (2003 / 2008 / 2012) system administration.
CITRIX administration.
All versions of MS Office Suite.
POLYCOM Video Conferencing systems.
Wireless networking.
Telecom switches and protocols.
Printers and print servers.
General first line ERP support.
CAD administration and NC support.
In addition to the specific skills described above, the desired candidate will posses strong skills in communication and project management. They must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work closely with other peer technical experts to complete tasks and projects on time and within budget. It is particularly important that this person be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the business unit, from shop floor employee to the president, and translate the needs of the business unit into technical specifications that can be evaluated, approved, and executed through a combination of internal and external resources.
The desired candidate will be required to learn and support all site based systems and insure all of those systems are installed consistently across sites and in compliance with TECT global.
