IT-Quality Assurance Tester/Analyst I

Objective:
Provide Quality Assurance for the LPS Desktop applications assuring that a quality product is available to our clients and employees.

Overview:
The ideal candidate for this entry level position is an individual that has the intellect, drive, and preferable working towards a BS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. This person will be in responsible for preparing and executing QA test cases for various medium and large-scale applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Create and document test scenarios/cases that emulate real-world business activities and operations in a controlled test environment.
* Conduct manual testing of web based applications and retest fixed defects
* Report and track defects when performing test execution using TFS
* Review and provide feedback on new/enhanced Software Business Requirements and High Level Designs.
* Strong team player.

Qualifications:

* College coursework in a Software Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred
* Knowledge of the software development life cycle is a plus
* SQL experience is a plus (such as building database queries, familiarity with database schema, and database concepts)
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Must possess a proven ability to complete detailed assignments accurately in a timely fashion.

· Strong interpersonal skills are required, as the successful candidate will interface with a wide range of personnel, and must possess the capacity to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and build relationships.
· Must have demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.

* Analytical skills to evaluate information gathered
* Ability to work some weekends without conflicts.
* Ability to work both independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
