Responsibilities

Provide system administration and management of Windows and IOS servers including domain functions (i.e., copying files, managing user access and permissions, etc.) and desktop environments (i.e., imaging, installing, and maintaining hardware and software, virus/malware removal, etc.). Maintain, document, and assist in the development of current web-based applications and their supporting databases. Provide assistance with planning, documenting, implementing, and maintaining of new server-based applications as needed by College faculty and staff. Develop and coordinate web programming (i.e., HTML, JavaScript, CSS) to facilitate end user or program efficiency. Initiate and implement SharePoint development for academic departments and non- academic units college-wide; Conduct orientation sessions and workshops; Initiate coordinate, and conduct deployment meetings; Troubleshoot, prepare appropriate documentation, contribute to policies and guidelines setting; Serve as liaison with FSU SharePoint group. Troubleshooting faculty and staff technical problems in person or by other means (i.e., phone, email, remote access, videoconferencing, etc.). Provide computer hardware/software support in COE offices, computer labs, and other instructional technology facilities on site (Stone Building) and off site (Tully Gym Building), which may require driving to sites. Set up and maintain various COE information and instructional technology devices. Provide technical consultation on college-wide and departmental projects; Manage projects; Select, evaluate, and coordinate implementation of advanced educational technology resources; Provide training; Assist in FSU ITS policy implementation for FSU resources utilized in the college. Manage and coordinate call assignments, scheduling, and training of other technicians. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma or equivalency and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years. Ability to troubleshoot faculty and staff technical problems via phone, e-mail, and in person. This will be in the form of ticket assignments and help desk duties. Experience assisting with planning, documenting, implementing, and maintaining new server-based applications. Experience providing technical consultation on college-wide and departmental projects. This will be reviewing outstanding tech projects. Valid state of Florida or Georgia driver’s license, or the ability to obtain.

Preferred

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years of experience in relevant fields, or a two year diploma and six years of relevant experience is preferred.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
