Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area; or high school diploma or equivalency and four years relevant experience; or a combination of relevant post high school education and experience equal to four years.
Experience with .net programming, and MS-SQL Server. Basic Windows Server administration IIS 6.0 or higher experience. Experience with web-application programming, HTML, Visual Studio, MS-Access Reports & Forms.
Ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Ability to utilize problem solving skills. Ability to utilize technical skills. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
Preferred
Knowledge of: Visual Basic, Photoshop, Visual Studio, MS- Access Reports & Forms, SQL Statements, T-SQL, Basic user/group management in Active Directory
Responsibilities
Serves as IT Manager by working with International Program administration to resolve problems and develop internal IT policies and procedures. Facilitates the collaborate partnership with Information Technology Services (ITS) on the planning and delivery of IT systems and services to the department.
Provides support for the International Program website, custom applications and MS-SQL databases. Develops and maintains system documentation. Position is expected to leverage and work with existing IT systems and services that are managed by ITS.
Serves as liaison to other offices on campus, and in that role provides workstation administration and server system administration. May provide guidance to other ITAPP units.
Communicates with and assists end users (staff, faculty, students). Works closely with other International Programs team members to accomplish project involving IT services.
Serves as point of contact for IT systems administrators working in Panama, England, Italy, and Spain.
