Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of industry experience; or a high school education and appropriate education and/or industry experience equal to six years.

Requirements
At least two years of industry experience in web application development using Java technologies (J2EE, JSP’s, JavaBeans, Servlets) and one major relational database management system (Oracle or DB2).

-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
-Ability to utilize problem solving and technical skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

A Criminal History Background Check is a condition of employment for this position.

Preferred
Knowledge of Spring/Struts MVC framework and web services.

Other Information
Special consideration will be given to FSU employees.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications required to facilitate and track student services provided by the University.  Provide technology solutions following all standards and guidelines supported by the department of Information Technology Services.

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
