JOB DESCRIPTION
Objective:
Automate the Quality Assurance test cases for all LPS Desktop Applications assuring that a quality product is available to our clients and employees.

Overview:
The ideal candidate for the Jr. Java Developer entry position is an individual that has the intellect, drive, programming experience in Java, and preferable a BS degree in Computer Science. This person will be in responsible for automating QA test cases for various medium and large-scale applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Using Rational Functional Tester (RFT), design java classes and driver scripts in a manner that promotes code reuse while reducing the cost to maintain.
* Maintain RFT scripts as the Application under Test evolves
* Schedule and Execute RFT script based on incoming request
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and balance priorities from multiple projects and release schedules.
* Ability to work some weekends and extended hours without conflicts.
* Strong team player.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Java 5 or above experience (course work is acceptable)
* SQL experience is a plus (such as building database queries, familiarity with database schema, and database concepts)
* Bachelor’s degree in information systems management, or related field; or related, equivalent experience
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Must possess a proven ability to complete detailed assignments accurately in a timely fashion.
* Strong interpersonal skills are required, as the successful candidate will interface with a wide range of personnel, and must possess the capacity to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and build relationships.
* Must have demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.
* Analytical skills to evaluate information gathered
