Auburn University Libraries invites applications and nominations for Instruction Librarian. We seek a creative, enthusiastic, and user-focused librarian, with a commitment to student learning, to join our Research and Instruction Services Department. Reporting to the Head of Research and Instruction Services, the successful candidate will work with the Instruction Coordinator and departmental faculty to support the Libraries’ information literacy instruction program. Information literacy is a core general education outcome at Auburn University. This twelve-month tenure-track position requires professional and scholarly activity as well as service on library and university committees.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate, promote, and assess the Libraries’ online information literacy instruction program for first-year composition courses
• Coordinate, promote, and assess use of the Libraries’ instructional modules within the university’s learning management system (Canvas).
• Collaborate with faculty to provide information literacy instruction face-to-face and online, both synchronously and asynchronously
• Create online resources that support information literacy instruction
• Serve as liaison to programs on campus that teach and serve first-year students
• Collaborate with the Instruction Coordinator to prioritize and coordinate instruction-related projects and initiatives
• Provide reference services face-to-face and online, for the university community as well as members of the public.
