Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Reference & Instruction Librarian. The Reference & Instruction Librarian provides general library assistance and reference service in the Macon Campus Library, as well as shares in the teaching of library instruction classes to students on the Macon Campus. The regular work schedule will include a combination of days and occasional weekends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution; Knowledge of print and electronic research resources used in academic libraries (preferably GALLILEO); Familiarity with Framework for information Literacy; Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a collegial environment; Ability to manage and prioritize projects; Understanding of trends and technologies in academic libraries; Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in an academic library preferred.
