Science and Research Impact Librarian position @ Clemson University

Clemson University Libraries seek two service-focused, collaborative, and innovative librarians to join our team as Science and Research Impact Librarians. These positions will serve as direct liaisons to select departments within the College of Science (COS) and the College of Engineering, Computing, and Applied Sciences (CECAS), providing research assistance, instruction, and outreach to students, faculty, and staff. They will collaborate with the Graduate School, Honors College, and Creative Inquiry program to connect students to library experts and services that meet their needs at all stages of the research life cycle. In addition, the successful candidates will develop and support research impact services across academic disciplines.

Qualified candidates must have an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited graduate degree in library or information science, or a foreign equivalent as determined by ALA-recommended procedures, experience as an academic, science or engineering librarian that includes teaching or assisting students, faculty, or researchers, and experience using research databases used in STEM disciplines.

These are 12-month tenure-track faculty positions in the Teaching, Learning, & Research division and work under the direction of the Head of Teaching & Learning Department. Faculty rank and minimum salary of $62,500 based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Various medical plans, dental plans, and retirement plans are available. 18 days annual leave, 15 days sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and liberal professional development leave are provided. Library faculty receive an individual stipend for travel or other professional development activity.
