The job description:
The User Experience Specialist I at Evans Library provides exemplary customer service and academic support to Florida Tech students, faculty and staff on-campus and online in all areas of inquiry and study, including assistance with students’ immediate needs on demand; delivery and responsiveness to library user needs; and promotion of library services, resources, events, workshops, and other library activities. The User Experience Specialist I assumes responsibility for the iDesk and total user experience as a member of the Public Services team.
- Provides comprehensive, high-quality, professional customer service, academic support and research assistance to all Florida Tech students, faculty, and staff.
- Assists in creative promotion of library services, resources and events, and maintains library presence on social media and campus platforms.
- Supports students in all aspects of their university experience focusing on overall student success and student retention at Florida Tech.
- Manages technology lending overdues, including internal and external communications and system updates.
- High School Diploma and Customer Service Experience required.
Position hours are Monday 7-4 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday 10-7 p.m., and Friday 9-6 p.m. Hours may vary depending on operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 per hour
