Children’s Literacy Initiative (CLI) is seeking a Multimedia Developer to work in our Philadelphia office. We are looking for a passionate individual that will thrive working with a smart, collaborative, and mission-driven team. The Multimedia Developer is responsible for all the post-production for CLI’s educational video series “Areas of Literacy Instruction.” The Multimedia Developer will consult on social media projects and training video projects as needed in support of teachers’ professional development in early literacy education.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Media Post Production: In collaboration with the Associate Director of Content Development, the Multimedia Developer is responsible for the post-production of CLI’s educational media. This includes the creation and/or use of Animation (80 % of all projects), motion graphics, kinetic text, sets deadlines for multimedia projects and communicates project plan to team members
• Design- The Multimedia Developer Is responsible, in collaboration with the Media Team, for the design (layout, graphics etc.) of Content Team multimedia presentations. These can include: Book Talks, Interactive videos for independent learning modules
• Video Shooting and Editing: Attends shoot as needed and assists with the post production of videos for training and for the LEARN website
Experience:
• 2 + years of experience in motion graphics and animation
• Experience in video production, post-production, and graphic design.
• Understanding of video distribution platforms and their requirements.
• Must have strong writing, organizational, planning and communication skills.
• HTML/CSS experience a plus.
• Ability to record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
• Excellent video production and post-production skills, knowledge of and experience with Character Animator, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, 4K cameras and formats
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• High level of organizational skills with ability to innovate new procedures, prioritize work assignments, multi-task and follow through on timely basis.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills. Interface diplomatically with all levels of internal and external contacts.
Education:
Bachelor’s in a media production field or commensurate work experience.
